My Current Fashion Obsessions
Updated: Nov 8, 2018
After a weekend helping with the Jewelry Box event put on by Access (an entire ballroom of $1 jewelry) I was inspired!
Access Women's Shelter graciously asked me to curate my own table at the event and to say a few things in an introduction to start off the night.
Found at my curated table: cuffs and stud earrings.
Cuffs are currently my (personal) obsession.
Cuffs are thick, easy to put on #bracelets and they easy to store/display. As much as I hate admitting it, 80% of my jewelry goes unworn because a lot of the pieces are elaborate and hard to put on. Having a good #cuff takes the frustration out of bracelet clasps and with one movement can cover a lot of skin-- no need to layer.
Stud earrings are currently my (professional) obsession.
With my entertainment background and having to have updated #headshots every couple of years, talent agents would stress non-hanging earrings. Since headshots and pictures needed to highlight the talent, I learned quickly that sparkly or intricate jewels in my ears took away the focus of my personality. I love studs because they can also be worn 24/7. With working for Cleveland 19 News and having a 1:30am wake up call, fussing with jewelry is not possible. Not to mention the frustration a production crew would feel if long-dangling earrings made noise on the mics.
What are some of your fashion obsessions currently?
Be original, show off your style, and tell your story.
